More Fabric Pictures Painted and Stitched.

As promised here are the rest of the WIPs from the recent May Day School with Priscilla Edwards. See previous post here.

Here is a striking Poinsettia with different green fabrics to give a variegated and more natural look to the leaves. Paint strokes add more leafy effects in the background.

A Yellow Beach Hut with bunting around the door makes a cheerful scene and painted Ric Rac and free machine stitches make waves on the sea, below.

Above, painted lace, paper and fabrics make an interesting garden for this Printed Peacock, above, whilst a deep blue makes vivid water in the Harbour Scene, below.

More painted lace for the sand on the sea bottom, and printed fossil like shells add interest.

Buttons, beads and wires add embellishments and extra elements to this sweet nostalgic picture, below.

Notice that the blue wire has been used to create the Teacup Handles and echos the blue of the little Birdie perched on the stacked cups. Text is also adds another dimension. Doesn't this finished piece make you smile? Well done G.

Another great finish from K, below. Plenty of lovely blues make up the ocean around this fantastic Whale saying Hi to the sail boat on the surface. Small blue seed beads add the ripples, splashes and waves to the surface of the sea.
The machine stitching adds a realistic detail to the underneath of the whale.

Well done everyone. We look forward to seeing more finished pieces in the future.
